The City

In this city, the lingerie factory has windows  that show nothing but hint at everything.   
Everyone wants to peek beyond the curtains  but no one wants to ruin the surprise.   
The roads are clearly marked "Inwards" and "Outwards"  but the signs tend to spin in the breeze.   
The people will know your face,  though your name will take a few guesses.   
The library is full of books that were never written.   
The gallery hangs empty frames,  inviting patrons to fill in the blanks.   
The more the inhabitants talk,  the more they find they have to listen

GoThe process is ongoing.  It is practiced continuously.  It is practiced like breath.   
Another piece on the board,  each day reveals the world unfolding.  Each stone a new star in the sky.  We can find contentment in the small things.  One stone can change the balance of a game.  One point is the balance between loss and gain.  Minutiae count.

An Immortal TravellerYou were born without a location,  just velocity and a sense of direction.  If there's a home for you at all,  it would be the 3am transfer between planes  in a country you can't recognise.  Or the shuffle of early morning newspaper  waiting for trains late in arriving.   
Sleep is a dingy room in an unadvertised motel  where you carry your own bags to the door.  Listen to the newlyweds coupling through the wall,  come morning, you could be eating:  Any of a hundred breakfasts,  in any of a thousand cities,  on any of a million streets.

Bohemian RhapsodyHaven't eaten yet.  I'm rather hungry.  Too late for lunch but I  Want more than afternoon tea.  Open my eyes,  check out the what's in the pantry,  larder and fridge, the contents look good to me.  But I must watch my cholesterol!  It's too high, not at all low,  Something straight off the bone?  Doesn't really matter to me-  To me.   
Mama, just grilled a ham  Put it between two chunks of bread  Now I'm feeling overfed.  Mama, lunch has just begun.  I'm gonna clean out the fridge  with a glass of beaujolais.

Hello folks,

Still here, but have been busy...

a) helping my partner setup and open her new vintage clothing store (Circa Vintage in Fitzroy)
b) Managing a growing number of futsal teams.
c) Planning for a trip to Europe..., well, the UK and Paris really, but it's a start.

Not much writing has gone on as a result, but we'll see how it goes...
